My Wedding Dress Experience

Ahh, I've been wanting to try on wedding dresses since well ever! You all know this if you follow my Pinterest page with more than half of my pins dedicated to Chris and I's wedding. I have been a bit obsessed. I also was super nervous because well I thought I would like everything. Crazy enough that was not the case one bit. Madeleines Daughter

{This was the first dress I tried on, gorgeous but a little bit too much mermaid flare for me)

I scheduled my appointment at Madeleines Daughter in Portsmouth and I am so happy I did. My bridal consultant Brandie was fabulous! She checked out my Pinterest and my blog before the appointment and it was like she read my mind. It only took trying on 8 dresses until I found the one.

{Loved this lace, but the thicker straps didn't suit me}

I was pretty strict with myself telling everyone coming with me that I would not purchase my dress at my first appointment, only because I had purchased dresses before that were not my style, but I was caught up in the exciting moment (high school prom) and regret it later. I knew purchasing this dress wouldn't be anything like purchasing a prom dress but I didn't want to make the same mistake twice. I wanted my gown to be something I would look back on and still love years and years later.

{This low back dress with lace and button detail was stunning!}

That being said Brandie killed it! I felt so incredibly comfortable, able to say my opinions with no judgement, and felt 100% listened too. The fact that she knew exactly what I wanted and made me cry the moment I put the dress on was a serious feat and she knocked it out of the park.

{This lace was gorgeous so sparkly and perfect for an upscale or black tie wedding}

Obviously I can't show you the dress but I will say it's lace, has some gorgeous accents and is totally classic. I can't wait to marry my best friend in my dream dress! Thank you Madeleines Daughter for making this experience so special.
